A ceramic coating is a SI02-based coating that will protect your vehicle for years to come from acid rain, bird droppings, water spots, sun fading, oxidation, and reduce the amount of swirls put into your paint via washing with the correct washing technique.

A ceramic coating provides more gloss, protection, and hydrophobic properties than a wax, or sealant. A wax or sealant will generally last 3-6 month where a ceramic coating can last from 1-10 years depending on the coating installed, the prep done before the coating and how the coating is maintained. The coating we install last roughly 5 years with proper maintenance.

While you do not have to get your vehicle maintained if you do not your ceramic coating will not last as long as it otherwise would. Your coating may have a change of getting clogged or with bird droppings and bug guts may “eat” into the coating if not washed off this phenomenon is called etching. Etching is when the acid from the bird dropping, or bug cuts will etch into the paint causing marks such as this

If you are planning to keep your car for a couple more years yes, it is absolutely worth it! If you are not planning to keep your car much longer we would recommend a service such as our superior exterior package which is a little more budget-friendly comparted to a ceramic coating.

We use ceramic coatings that are rated for up to 9 years of protection however we reasonably expect the coating to last about 5 years with proper maintence. Many coating companies promise up to 10 years of protection however that’s under the most ideal circumstances such as a garage kept classic vehicle or an extremely well maintated vehicle.
